The Lady of Gollerus, otherwise known by its abbreviation TLoG, is a vertical scroll-style webcomic I write and illustrate. It's an adventure story about a group of pirates in a high-fantasy setting that takes lots of inspiration from TTRPGs like Dungeons and Dragons and Pathfinder.
After making its first appearance on Webtoon Canvas on May 16, 2022, TLoG has taken root on three other webcomic hosting platforms—NamiComi, Tapas, and GlobalComix. Across all platforms, it has accumulated over 261.1k views and 6.9k subscribers, and is rated 9.5/10 on Webtoon Canvas and 4.8/5 on NamiComi (as of 2/7/2025).
MEET THE CAST
Captain Morrigan (Juno)
Juno (he/him) is the first character introduced in the series, initially under the pseudonym "Captain Morrigan." He's the captain of the pirate ship The Lady of Gollerus, the comic's namesake, and wears a crow skull-shaped mask which he refuses to take off in front of anyone other than his first mate. Juno is a warlock who favors melee combat over spell use, though his weapon—a scythe—is magical in nature. He's cocky, performative, and bold, and holds a secret alliance to one of the story's main antagonists: the evil ocean goddess Oluja.
MINho
Minho (he/him)—or, as Juno calls him, Minnie—is the second character the reader is introduced to, and he fills the role of Captain Morrigan's first mate. He's the party's cleric and is very adept at healing magic and necromancy, though he's particularly skilled in the realm of soul manipulation. Minho is a generally nervous, quiet individual who seems to be significantly more powerful than he lets on with a lot of skeletons in his closet.
MELODY
Melody, or Mel (she/her), is Ava's first mate and girlfriend who joined Juno's crew alongside her captain. Mel is a former smuggler and the runaway daughter of a noble family in the capital city of the empire. She's a talented singer and magic user who struggles to cast due to a curse that restricts her magic abilities, and she is determined to find a way to cure herself. Melody is a generally stoic, aloof person who's slow to trust anyone other than Ava, but she cares deeply for the people she does grow close to.
AvArice
Avarice, or Ava (she/they), is another pirate captain who works on Juno's ship. Once the captain of her own crew, Ava agreed to merge her forces with Juno's following a raid of her ship, and quickly befriended Juno and Minho. She's in a long-term relationship with her first mate, Melody. She's a fighter who uses blood magic from time to time, though she specializes in firearm-based combat with her trusty pepperbox pistol. Ava is a bright, bubbly person whose friendly demeanor makes her easy to underestimate—at your own risk.
Alder
Alder (they/them) is a secondary antagonist who has just recently made their debut in the story. They're a warlock stuck in a pact with one of the main antagonists—the evil chaos god, Azotl—who they obey unconditionally. They've even pulled their own eye out at the command of their patron. Alder is an incredibly powerful individual whose soul is so intertwined with Azotl's, they struggle at times to maintain their sense of self. They're an unstable, easily-angered person who specializes in dark magic.
